Title: Applied ML/AI Projects with Focus on a CV platform

Abstract: The rapid development of artificial intelligence is opening new opportunities for innovation in industrial systems and technical processes. This lecture will introduce selected projects carried out within our institute, combining data analytics, computer vision, and advanced control methods. These include in-cylinder pressure prediction, automatic laser calibration, laser peening, plasma furnace control, and advanced vibrodiagnostics.
The main focus will be the development of a modular image-analysis platform that enables efficient use of visual data and rapid deployment of AI in water management.
BIO: Ing. et Ing. Bohumil Kolar works at the Institute for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovation at the Technical University of Liberec, where he focuses on applied research in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and computer vision. He holds engineering degrees in Control and Information Systems as well as in fields related to Industry 4.0.
He focuses on technical and industrial problems that require interdisciplinary expertise ranging from data analytics, ML/AI model design, and work with sensors or embedded systems to the integration of intelligent algorithms into control processes.
