In a world where technology becomes more prominent and industry needs to rapidly evolve it can be hard to know how to lead your students towards the right opportunities and bridge their skills between the classroom and the professional environment.
This is where the IBM Z Student Ambassador Program comes in, which is an industry renowned student leadership program that offers students professional growth opportunities in the Mainframe sector, while providing networking and mentorship opportunities with IBM employees, leading to internships and full time jobs. This program is run in partnership with IBM Z and ourselves, Your Big Year (an International Connector program).
This past year, the program grew to have 175+ student ambassadors at over 100 universities in 22 different countries. We are currently adding new student ambassadors for the 25/26 academic calendar, please encourage interested students to apply. Come join the fun!!
The cost: Absolutely free! It is fully funded by IBM Z, so we do not seek any financial contribution from the students nor the university.
What's in it for faculty:
- Opportunities to bring IBM speakers, events, and clients to your campus
- Growing student engagement, building in-demand enterprise computing skills
- Improving your students career readiness through hands-on learning and mainframe credentials
It is a perfect way to enhance what students are already learning in the classroom!
If you have any questions I would be happy to have a short conversation with you. If you think the content aligns with another professor's, I would appreciate it if you could pass this information onto them.
