講 題：Science and research engineering in Yahoo! Taiwan E-commerce.
演講大綱：
E-commerce (auctions, shopping, store) is a very important business unit for TW and global Yahoo! We are greatly expanding and looking for outstanding research engineers to join our team. Our mission is to build upon our successful business and strong user base, to enhance user experiences, engagement, and revenue through advanced and innovative features and projects. We work with the top-notch scientists in our world-class Global Yahoo! Labs team (http://labs.yahoo.com) remotely, to jointly build up a scientific foundation through developing user-behavior modeling technology in data mining, machines learning, and statistical modeling throughout a very large scale datasets.
We work on a variety of projects including large-scale research prototypes, rapidly evolving research experiments leading to insights and research publications, software and models leading to real product features delivery. Personalized recommendations, anti-fruad mechanism, and machine learned ranking are just a few examples. In this talk, we will go through current research topics for EC in Yahoo! Taiwan. Domains includes Search (e.g. Query Understanding, Ranking, Document Understanding), Recommendation (e.g. Collaborative Filtering, Content-based, hybrid) and other challenges (e.g mobile science). We will also talk about our experience on hadoop and big data.
