演講摘要：
Computer programs won several matches against professional players in shogi in the last four years. In this talk, recent improvements in game playing programs in shogi and other games, including distributed game-tree search methods or machine learning techniques for evaluation functions, are discussed. A computer program, GPS Shogi, won against a class-A professional player at the match in 2013, for the first time ever. GPS Shogi ran on a cluster of about 700 computers with game position parallelization, and the parameters in its evaluation function were tuned so that the move decisions by minimax search agree with the game records of human experts.
