講 題：Computational Video and Camera Based Novel User Interaction Systems
演講者經歷：
Luc Claesen (何慎諾) obtained his EE (1979) and Ph.D. (1984) at K.U.Leuven Belgium. He has been research group leader in the area of SoC Design Methodologies at IMEC for 23 years and professor at K.U.Leuven for 18 years. He also served as an associate professor at NCTU, Hsinchu, Taiwan. Currently he is a professor at University Hasselt Belgium. His research interests are in SoC architectures for Multi-Camera Systems and Computational Video.
演講大綱：
The concerted use of multiple cameras in video production and user interaction opens up new and interesting applications such as 3D-TV, omnidirectional vision, depth vision as well as novel human computer interaction systems. The processing of ultra-high definition video systems poses new challenges for System-on-Chip architectures, camera design, communication bandwidth, lossy/lossless compression, storage systems, hardware/software codesign etc... These topics will be discussed based on ongoing research at University Hasselt, Belgium.
